The Ecoducts N71 & N76 project represents an important milestone in Flanders’ commitment to ecological restoration, as part of the Ecological Defragmentation Action Programme (VAPEO).
These wildlife passages reconnect fragmented habitats, enhance biodiversity, and restore natural movement corridors for countless species. By bridging the ecological divide created by transportation networks, these structures support the long-term health and resilience of Belgium’s natural heritage.
Our multidisciplinary team delivered comprehensive BIM-integrated design services that ensured seamless coordination across all project phases connecting Bosland and Hoge Kempen National Parks. Through careful site grading and earthwork design, we created optimal gradients that blend harmoniously with the surrounding terrain while minimizing environmental impact.
This foundation supported our landscape architecture and site planning work for recreating passages that feel like natural extensions of the existing environment. These landscapes were reinforced by structural design, which helped us deliver resilient crossing structures that accommodate both wildlife and recreational users where required.
Throughout the project, our visualization services produced compelling renderings and 3D imagery that effectively communicated design concepts to stakeholders, promoting understanding and appreciation for these important ecological connections in Flanders’ natural network.
Lastly, we prepared all technical drawings needed for building permit approval, ensuring compliance with specific regulatory requirements while maintaining the ecological integrity of the VAPEO programme vision.
